Grading

 Pin Grading:

All pins are handmade and are bound to come with a few flaws. Presale buyers will always get the best available pins. A grade pins will be the highest quality pins in the batch, having very few, minor flaws that are not very noticeable. B grade pins could have more minor flaws but does not take away from the integrity of the pin design. C grade pins have multiple, visible flaws. The sides of the pin are lightly checked for quality and the back of the pin isn't considered at all, since this does not take away from the beauty of the pin. A slight wobble to a post or a top pin is not considered a flaw. If I feel either of those would break the pin, I wouldn't sell it as any grade. (Rest assured I will not sell a pin that is horribly defective or have facial imperfections).

A Grade:

A grade is the best in the batch but may include some of the following flaws:

1. Light scuffs

2. Light scratches

3. Small pin pricks

4. Minor overfill or underfill of enamel

5. Dust in the enamel

6. Minor Printing error

These flaws are usually only noticeable if tilted in the light at specific angles.

B Grade:

B Grade is still very good quality, with the same possible flaws as A grade, but more prominent.

C Grade:

The errors in a C grade are much more noticeable when looking at it straight on, as opposed to the A & B grade pins:

1. Visible Scuffs

2. Visible Scratches

3. More noticeable pin pricks

4. Overfill or Underfill of enamel

5. More noticeable dust in the enamel

6. Larger printing errors
